Der Samurai

(GER 2014, D: Till Kleinert, A: Michel Diercks, Pit Bukowski, Uwe Preuss, 80’, OV, BluRay)

In the Brandenburg area, people are afraid of wolves. Its howling scares them and silences the lambs. After the incidents of one night, the local residents will wish it had only been a wolf that is haunting them. Instead, it is the disturbing nightmare in the form of a anonymous foreigner, who appeared at the edge of the woods, armed with a samurai sword, traversing the place with a wake of devastation. By encountering the samurai, above all village policeman Jakob is confronted with his own demons, the disowned sides and suppressed cravings of his own self. Wild horror-western bastard.
