Festival tickets for GEGENkino 2017 are still available at the usual places: Filmgalerie WestEnd (Industriestraße 18), the bookstore “W. Otto Nachf.” (Wolfgang-Heinze-Straße 12a) and Riso Club Leipzig (Hermann-Liebmann-Str. 88)—for the price of 38 euros or 32 euros (reduced).

We updated our section about the TRUE POLITICS video art exhibition a bit and you’ll now find more information on all the featured works—just click the links here:

The TRUE POLITICS video art exhibition will be held from 07 to 09 April, starting at 6 pm respectively at the ballroom of Schaubühne Lindenfels –with exhibition tours on 07 and 09 April at 6:30 pm.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a discussion forum taking place at 08 April on 7:30 pm in which Selma Doborac, Mario Pfeifer, Lars Koch and Angelika Bartl will debate about about the possibilities of documentary film and art and about the responsibilities of artists with regards to information
production.

Update | Gäste beim Screening von TARA

Only five more days to go! GEGENkino 2017′s drawing closer… and we’re very happy to be able to announce a further bunch of guests: Lion Bischof, Jonas Heldt & Felicitas Sonvilla of MOTEL Regiekollektiv will come to the screening of Sonvilla’s short film TARA on 12 April at Luru Kino in order to talk to us and you about the practice of collective filmmaking and other such things.

There are new and hot tickets for GEGENkino 2017. They will be available from tomorrow onwards at the following places: Filmgalerie WestEnd (Industriestraße 18), the bookstore “W. Otto Nachf.” (Wolfgang-Heinze-Straße 12a) and at Riso Club Leipzig (Hermann-Liebmann-Str. 88).

The ticket’s for the whole festival (valid for all GEGENkino events) and it sells for the price of 38 euros or 32 euros (reduced)—same as last year.

Update | Julian Radlmaier @ GEGENkino 2017

Yessss! We have some more guests coming to GEGENkino 2017! Julian Radlmaier, the director of SELBSTKRITIK EINES BÜRGERLICHEN HUNDES (SELF-CRITICISM OF A BOURGEOIS DOG)—the most self-doubtful proletarian film you’re likely to see—and his producer Kirill Krasovski will come to the screening of the film and will be available for Qs and As afterwards.
